Please join Philadelphia VIP, Dechert, and Community Legal Services (CLS) for a comprehensive training on how to defend low-income tenants in eviction proceedings in Philadelphia’s Municipal Court.
Volunteer lawyers can make a world of difference for tenants facing eviction, regardless of their background or familiarity with landlord/tenant issues. This training will cover everything from applicable law to common defenses in VIP cases to navigating Municipal Court itself.
The training will be led by Jon Gaynor, an experienced VIP volunteer, and Tom Siller, an attorney with CLS’s Housing Unit.
Attendees will earn two substantive CLE credits for this training, which you can attend either virtually or in person at Dechert’s Center City office.
