Case #26-0120230

Urgent

Client, who is being sued by Velocity Investments, LLC, in the Court of Common Pleas requests assistance filing an answer to the complaint and representation at her arbitration hearing on February 10, 2027.  Client was served on May 27, 2026; an answer is due by June 16, 2026.  The complaint alleges that client owes over $10,000 on a loan granted by original creditor, FinWise Bank. However, the original loan amount was $10,000, so client believes the amount owed should be less.  Client fell behind on the loan shortly after taking it out when she lost her job.  She subsequently found new employment and began making payments again, until late 2023 when she had to stop working due to illness.  Client was diagnosed with an autoimmune disorder in early 2024 and has been unable to work since.  Client is currently struggling to catch up on her mortgage payments as well.  She isn’t sure she’d be able to work out much of a payment plan, but is willing to try to work something out.  A volunteer is needed to represent client throughout the process.
