Client needs assistance obtaining guardianship over her daughter who was born with Arthrogryposis. Client’s daughter cannot talk, move, or carry out activities of daily living on her own. Client has taken care of her daughter for her entire life. Daughter is now an adult and Client would like to become guardian to ensure she will continue to be able to care for her daughter and prevent any issues down the line. Client also needs to be able to manage trust funds on behalf of daughter. A volunteer is needed to file a petition for guardianship and represent the client throughout the lifetime of the case.
